Founder Hieu Bui, arrived in London in 1999 and opened Cây Tre in 2003 to fill the gap he found for authentic Vietnamese food. His mission: to let top-quality ingredients shine. From Hereford sirloin to free-range chicken and seasonal British vegetables sourced from Borough Market, our dishes celebrate fresh, fragrant flavours.

Since opening our flagship Hoxton location in 2003, we’ve stayed true to our roots. In 2011, we expanded to Soho’s vibrant Dean Street, offering a taste of Vietnam in the heart of the West End.
